Lenovo Dock Causes "Under Powered Warning"
Are you getting the image below on your laptop after connecting your Lenovo Dock?
But when you connect your laptop without the dock directly to the power adapter, it charges just fine?
This is most likely because you are doing one of the following...
1. Using the wrong power adapter to the dock
2. Have the incorrect cables connected to the devices.
The reason this is happening is because the dock requires more power than your laptops stock power adapter to power all the accessories plugged into it, on top of the laptops charge requirements.
Follow this diagram when connecting the Lenovo docks.
1. Plug the supplied power adapter into the dock. (Power Adapter using USB - Yellow)
2. Plug the supplied USB-C cable from the dock (next to power) into the USB input on the laptop.
(where you would typically put the power adapter)
If you have everything connected like above, it is recommend to do a "Power Drain".
To perform a power drain on the machine start by long-pressing its Power button for several seconds to turn it off.
Once done, press the Power button again after a minute to turn it on, then see if the warning icon will disappear afterwards.
