If you have a Zebra GX420d and it wont print, here are items to try.
STEP 1. Do you see power? Are the lights on the printer? Is the USB plugged into the printer?
If the lights are green, and USB is plugged in all the way... move onto step 3!
If its red, move onto step 2.
If the USB is unplugged, plug the USB in and reboot the printer. Wait at least 30 seconds and try to print.
(Still not printing move on to Step 3)
If they are not lit at all check the power.
2. Typically, if there is a red light it means there is no paper or the printer requires calibration.
Follow this link on how to re-calibrate your Zebra. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VdtkUsVtksQ
Some of them will have an LCD display and have a calibration option within the menu.
3. If the light is Green, and you click the feed button and only one sheet comes out, you should be good to go. If more than one sheet feeds out when you press the feed button, you may need to calibrate it, move back to step 2! If you still cant seem to print, move to step 4.
4. Verify PRINT NODE is installed and running. The icon will look like this within Windows.
If it is not running or not visible, try to reboot your workstation, and try your print job again.
5. Verify PRINT NODE is logged into, and click on the printer tab and verify the ZEBRA shows ONLINE.
6. Last Option... Make your Zebra printer a default printer.
